Vancouver - Snowing! -2It's snowing! Can't wait until I can strap on my boots and head for the hills. All this fresh pow-pow is making me jittery.

Last year was pretty dead for me since I was stuck in school all year. I'm planning on heading up to Whistler for the holidays to spend some time with my girlfriend and some friends. If you ever need a ride up to Whistler or Blackcomb, check out snowbus.ca. They offer one-way and return tickets to and from Whistler. Prices range from $23.96 one-way, and $42.92 for a return trip. They also offer membership pricing which comes with a couple of nice perks.

Another great discount that I signed up for this year was an EDGE card. You can get killer discounts on lift tickets if you sign-up early enough. If you plan on going up regularily, you should definately check it out.

I've checked the local mountains and here's the run down:

Mountain Base (CM)
In the Last 24 Hours
Whistler/Blackcomb 110 cm 24 cm (and counting)
Cypress Mountain 83 cm 13 cm
Grouse Mountain 107 cm 12 cm
Seymour Mountain 78 cm 13 cm
Big White 64 cm 4 cm
Silverstar 85 cm 3 cm
Sun Peaks 85 cm 3.1 cm
